Golden Arrow Discovers New High Grade At Don Bosco, La Rioja Province
VANCOUVER - Golden Arrow Resources Corporation reported that recent ongoing surface work has led to the discovery of the San Alberto skarn zone at its 100% owned Don Bosco property La Rioja Province, Argentina. Surface sampling results from San Alberto include individual rock grab and chip samples with values up to 11.2% copper, 9.7 g/t gold and 221g/t silver.
The newly discovered San Alberto zone is located 1km northeast of the previously-announced El Pircarda zone, where intense skarn alteration and mineralization outcrops over a 700m by 150m area; currently open to extension in all directions. Significant composite rock chip samples at San Alberto include 11m averaging 0.53 g/t Au, 46 g/t Ag and 1.77 % copper from a massive amphibole+sulphide skarn band.
This discovery of the San Alberto, together with the other two previously discovered zones on Don Bosco, has accelerated the scheduling for drilling of this property. Golden Arrow has received the required environmental permissions for trenching and drilling at Don Bosco property.
To date, a total of 514 rock chip samples have been collected from three distinct target areas on Don Bosco: San Alberto-El Pircarda Cu-Au skarn; Llantenes Copper zone; and Las Minitas Silver zone.
Golden Arrow currently has an expert geological team in the field undertaking detailed mapping and sampling at San Alberto and El Pircarda in preparation for access road construction and a bulldozer trenching program, planned to commence in the next two months, will be followed by an I.P / Resistivity geophysical program.
